Day at Beach

sunny 23 °C

After a lazy morning and a lovely sleep-in, we walked down to the Marina for a taste of suckling pig which is a specialty that the Portuguese are crazy for. Although we all gave it a try, Jack was the only one to give it a ringing endorsement. The afternoon was spent relaxing on the beach – the water is very cold but some adventurous swimmers did dip their toes into the water – our boys were busy enjoying the sights of the topless sunbathers and didn’t venture into the ocean.
Dinner out at a nearby restaurant that overlooked the ocean...where our waiter, Raphael, enjoyed the banter with Jack and gave us great service including a special serving of grilled sardines so that we could all have a taste before we decided what to order.
