We made it!

Albufeira_marina.jpgCondo_view.jpgWell, after 26 hours of travel via, Denver, Frankfort and Lisbon...we headed off in our rented van for Albufeira. The A2 is a toll motorway and the traffic moves along briskly - Jack managed to keep pace while the back seat drivers white-knuckled it! Finally arrived at our apartment at 8:30 p.m. or so and met Duncan who showed us around and got us settled in. We walked down to “old town” for a lovely dinner of sea bass, calamari and such.
Our first day in Portugal was spent exploring Albufeira, especially the Marina where we enjoyed a lovely lunch. Albufeira marina is home to boats, ships and yachts of all sizes and description. The marina is surrounded by colourfully painted condos and shops making it a picturesque spot to enjoy the sunshine. (Today’s temperature - 21 C)

Destination Albufeira Portugal

A quiet little fishing village?

Looking forward to arriving in Albufeira where we have booked an apartment for our stay. Albufeira is in central Algarve and should make a great base for exploring southern Portugal. I also heard a nasty rumor that we may bump into a few gold courses nearby!
